How do we fill the hole in the heart of Pomona?
This simple question drove a public art project that a group of local artists worked on for the past 6 months. Our goal was to get people talking about the empty lot in the center of the Arts Colony. For years this lot has been an eyesore in an otherwise beautiful and thriving community. What is the potential of this site? And what do the people of Pomona want to see built here?
This public installation was the culmination of a series of workshops held at Space Gallery in Pomona, CA. The workshops provided lectures on contemporary public art as well as a space to brainstorm ideas for a community project.
